Designing a chaotic Zen garden for Burning Man. The representation of this theme park is our local Galaxy, the Milky Way. This installation intends to take viewers on a journey into the Milky Way. When entering the park, the viewer will be entering a chaotic Zen garden, where representation of organic matter is forced into an organic order that is in spiral form. This installation intends to move the viewer into a meditative state of trance. The conceptual thinking behind the Zen and Chaos Garden is the journey of building a structure that represents a foundation in which all strives to burn itself to dust. It is where Chaos coexists with Zen.
